I get tossed into the world of law after my bakery was forced into a $3 million dollar bankruptcy in 2004-2005. That experience inspired me to deep dive into the law and learn how to make the right moves and avoid the wrong ones.

I'm obsessed with teaching and sharing these concepts with business owners & philanthropists so they can avoid my mistakes. That's my contribution to the world!

I studied law in Canada, the UK, and the US, with a special focus on Business Law, and have represented just over 25,000 businesses and nonprofits in diverse legal niches, such as bankruptcy, restructuring, business, nonprofits, contracts, trusts, wills, tax, IP law, and M&A law.

Believe it or not - all of these areas are highly interconnected. Most business owners don't connect the dots between these concepts and end up getting piecemeal advice that does more harm than good - I've experienced this myself!

Traditional legal engagement restricts the manner in which lawyers can practice - advice is limited to the scope of engagement, and there's a risk offering any advice beyond the scope. And, malpractice insurance won't cover it, so why risk offering that advice that leaves the lawyer more exposed?!

These are all the reasons why I've consciously decided to step away from "traditional" lawyering to focus on filling the above-mentioned gaps that exist!
